Workshop Overview:

Our population is aging, and that shift is changing the way we live, work, and do business. Join the Greater Vancouver Chamber for a timely workshop exploring how demographic trends, both nationally and here in Clark County, are shaping the future of our workforce and community.

Heather Deringer, owner of Home Helpers Home Care, will lead this discussion and share real-world insights on how businesses can adapt to support employees who are balancing career and caregiving responsibilities, manage multi-generational teams, and plan for the needs of an older customer base.

Topics include:

  • Understanding the aging population and its impact on the workforce
  • The rise of the “Sandwich Generation” and what it means for employee wellbeing
  • Emotional and financial challenges faced by caregivers
  • How to start supportive conversations with staff and colleagues
  • Local resources available for businesses and families

Participants will leave with data-driven insights and practical strategies to strengthen workplace culture, retain talent, and better serve our community as it continues to age.
